Our office staff can book a last minute fishing trip for you just as easily as they can serve up a tall mocha breve with hazelnut. K-Bay Charters also offers vacuum packaging, freezing, and FedEx delivery of your catch from our Pro Shop.

K-Bay Charters Pro Shop & Office

This is our Pro Shop and Office, which is conviently located on the world famous Homer Spit. We have plenty of parking spaces available, and the fisherman's lagoon is next door if you want to try your hand at snagging a salmon from shore. We welcome walk-in guests for a full day halibut fishing trip but, we highly recommend that you make advanced reservations if you have a firm date you would like to fish on.

Our Pro Shop offers Homer Halibut Derby tickets and Alaska Department of Fish and Game Fishing Licenses as well as King Salmon Harvest Stamps. Anyone over the age of 16 needs a ADF&G fishing license to go fishing in the state of Alaska. You only need a King Salmon Harvest Stamp if you are going to go fishing for king salmon. Minors under the age of 16 do not need a ADF&G Fishing License when accompanied by a licensed adult but, they do need a King Salmon Harvest Stamp when fishing for king salmon.

We strongly suggest that you purchase a Homer Halibut Derby ticket because the first place prize is usually a very large cash prize. It would also be a terrible event in your life if you caught a 400 pound halibut and didn't purchase a derby ticket.

We also carry a wide variety of sodas, juices, candy bars, and other snacks for your convenience. K-Bay Charters also has a full service espresso bar for those early morning departure times. Our office staff are well trained barristas as well as very competent fishing charter support staff. We carry a variety of Alaskan souvenirs so you can find a gift for your friends and family back home in our Pro Shop.

 

Meet our Pro Shop Staff

Jesse LeMay AKjesse@k-bay.com Jesse LeMay is co owner of K-Bay Charters and has run of the office. She takes care of everything in the office. Not only is she an experienced Alaskan fishing guide, she is also makes a mean espresso. Jesse's responsibilities include book keeping, reservations, barrista, and everything else that wouldn't get done if she wasn't there.

Amber Idontknow amber is in charge of nothing and doesn't really do anything but get really stoned and drunk all of the time. If you need to score a bag and don't know anyone in Homer, Amber is the girl you need to talk to. This is of course just a joke and is only here to hold a place for real text that will be later put in here. I figured it's a good spot for employee info.
