We offer 1 day to 6 day fishing packages, or you can create your own custom Alaska fishing package both on the ocean and freshwater. Every year in Homer there is a halibut fishing derby. You will want to buy a $10 halibut derby ticket from our Pro Shop to make sure you are eligible to win your share of the derby's top prize. First place in the Homer Halibut Derby is usually around $50,000 (dependent on the number of tickets sold). The winning halibut is often over 300 lbs and we can help you catch one that big. For our Halibut only charters on our 6 passenger boat, everyone on board is given a Halibut Derby ticket at K-Bay’s expense. All of our captains are licensed by the US Coast Guard and each one of them has years of halibut fishing and salmon fishing experience in Alaska. They will make every effort to put you on "the really big one" and get your daily catch limit onboard.
Our six and twelve passenger ocean-going Coast Guard inspected charter vessels are clean and comfortable. Both of our charter boats have state of the art communications and navigation equipment on board like VHF radio, CB radio, GPS chart plotters and radar. For your comfort our vessels have heated cabins, indoor private marine bathrooms, and are equipped with top of the line halibut and salmon fishing tackle.
